How does Profile Evaluation work?
Profile Evaluation is a feature which enables you to allow another user who is your friend to evaluate your profile and give you a feedback on your Profile for the colleges you have applied for. You can find all these evaluations in one single place in your profile later. This is really helpful in planning and organizing your college applications. To get you profile evaluted by a friend , go to his profile and request profile evaluation(this button is located on top-left).
So Profile Evaluation allows another user on the site to have full access to my profile?
That is a misconception. Profile Evaluation reveals your educational background, projects, research, career to the evaluator. No body can evaluate your profile unless you explicitly request for it from them. So unless you request someone to evaluate your profile, he will not see your personal information. The information you are uncomfortable with sharing can always be hidden in the privacy settings page.
I am an applicant for Fall-2013. What is the best way I could make use of Acadiary?
Join the channels for the universities that you have applied to/planning to apply. Since Acadiary channels are highly organized, you will see all the content related to your universities in the corresponding channels. You can also find information about latest admits/rejects in channel updates. Make friends with students who get admits in your college. Network more through diary, chat, private messages. Plan your trip to your new campus, find room-mates and make friends. All this could be done so easily if you follow the right channels.
